Greenwood
Photo Description
Named for its beautiful elm trees, Greenwood was founded in 1867 by R.W. Price, Frank Brooks, Alfred Hanscomb and the Revered S.B. Clark. In 1900, the town had two train stations that averaged 100 trains in a 24-hour period. Not much has changed in this quaint small town over the years. With many city parks that offer playgrounds, shelters, movies in the park and baseball fields, as well as many wonderful and unique shops, Greenwood is a great place to live and to visit. Greenwood is located about 20 miles to the south and east of Kansas City.
